About Me
Hi, I’m Brian Gilbert. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Throughout my career, I have helped hundreds of individuals, from teens to geriatric clients, many at higher levels of care and extreme need. Using a variety of clinical tools, backed up by evidence-based techniques, has enabled me to successfully treat a diverse amount of issues and circumstances. This includes problems with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Self-Esteem.
I believe that we all have a lens to view the world through, developed through our experiences. This allowed us to develop the skills to get through our daily lives, but when it comes to mental health, having just one perspective may not be enough.
Therapy is a way to help develop new, more reliable skills. Using my experience and professional training, and your willingness to improve, gives us the best chance to reach the best version of yourself.
My goal is to always have something for you to take away from our sessions, including being able to process, feel heard, and validated. I want to make sure we have a clear understanding and where we want to go, while setting realistic expectations. I don't believe in being a passive participant, and will compassionately challenge you when necessary, provide relevant coping skills, and honestly acknowledging your growth.
Together, we will outline your goals for treatment and identify what are the obstacles and barriers preventing you from moving forward.
